Smoke Shop Design

BLDG Projects completed the architectural, landscape + engineering design for this former rental car shop in Crest Hill, Illinois.

Project overview included converting this commercial space into a cigar lounge and smoke shop. We redesigned the existing garage space into the cigar lounge, and made the front space an area for retail. We were able to use the original building’s footprint while creating ADA accessible zones.

The difficulty of this project was working with city Zoning to create a new in and out transition from the Main Street. Because this shop is located on an extremely busy intersection, we were required to redirect some incoming traffic and provide additional parking and green spaces.

Working together with the Cresthill building department, we were able to solve this project in a timely matter for our clients without comprising budget or original design intentions.
